Delivery Delays for Recipients in Italy

Poste Italiane has advised of potential delays in the processing of shipments at sorting centers and during customs clearance.

Poste Italiane is currently experiencing delays in the customs clearance of incoming shipments arriving from outside the EU. These delays are due to an update to the Italian Customs Service’s IT system, which has impacted customs clearance operations at all international mail exchange points in Italy.

Poste Italiane states that all possible measures have been taken to minimize the impact. They are working closely with the Italian Customs Service to restore normal operations as quickly as possible; however, as of today, the situation remains unresolved.
