Belgium: a 24-hour interprofessional strike

bpost would like to inform other countries and their designated operators that the major Belgian unions have called a 24-hour interprofessional strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST on 13 January 2025.

This industrial action may affect mail and parcels deliveries, as well as bpost’s domestic and international logistics network.

Furthermore this strike will likely also involve ground handlers and other airport and airline personnel. Therefore, disruption is to be expected with regards to the handling of inbound and outbound airmail dispatches at Brussels Airport.

Consequently, delays are to be expected with regards to mail and parcels that will arrive in Belgium around that day.
