Cyprus: The impact of the flooding at government premises on the postal service

The designated operator of Cyprus, Cyprus Post, informs that most of the government’s web pages and e-mails have been out of service since the afternoon of 10 April 2023 as a result of flooding in the government node premises. For the Department of Postal Services, the following systems are currently unavailable:

  • POS located at post office counters;
  • IPS Web Client;
  • IPS Webtracking;
  • Customs Declaration System (CDS);
  • all IPS and CDS related APIs.

The damage has not been repaired to date. Owing to this incident, delays may be experienced in the delivery of items, dispatch of outbound items and transmission of electronic data about the postal items status. Cyprus Post is in constant contact with the relevant government department for any further developments.
