Possible longer transit times to several countries to which mail is transported by Lufthansa flights

According to Lufthansa, which performs transit transportation for Ukrposhta to several countries (Australia, Albania, Angola, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Gambia, Hong Kong, Israel, India, Cameroon, Canada, China, Korea (Rep.), Costa Rica, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Uruguay, Japan), transit times may be extended.

Lufthansa reports that the aviation industry in Europe is currently suffering from a strain due to the increasing COVID-19 sickness and increased tension, which may result in more extended mail transhipment times.

The main difficulty of transportation is related to Lufthansa routes within Europe. Ukrposhta is using Lufthansa flights primarily for long-haul destinations.
