Power Outage in Spain and Portugal

The designated operator of Portugal, CTT Correios de Portugal, wishes to inform that Portugal has experienced a widespread power outage, starting at 11.33 (local time) on 28 April.
The ensuing failure of communication and data networks has had a severe impact on the operations of CTT Correios de Portugal, with disruption to sorting and distribution centres, post offices and transportation networks (including airports).
Every effort is being made, as of 29 April, to restore normal operations.

Correos, Spain
The designated operator of Spain, Correos, would like to inform that, due to a widespread power outage in Spain, operations at sorting and distribution centres and post offices were halted on 12:30 p.m. on April 28th.
Correos’ IT infrastructure was also affected due to the power outage, and service disruptions are expected.
Transportation infrastructure was affected, including operations at airports and public transport services, including trains and metro lines.
There were major traffic jams at some points on the road network.
Regarding communications and data networks, the power outage also affected them, and there was no internet or mobile access in certain areas.
Power was restored throughout the day and night of April 28th.
Regarding Correos facilities, operations were gradually restored in most centers and post offices during the 29th, with a small number remaining inoperative at the end of the day.
By today, April 30th, normal operations are expected to be restored across the entire Correos network.
