Türkiye – Earthquake

The designated operator of Türkiye, Turkish Post Corporation, would like to inform that two massive earthquakes (7,7 and  7,6  magnitude) hit the southern and south-eastern regions of the country on 6th of February, 2023 and the Turkish government has declared a state of emergency as of 8th of February, 2023.

The devastating earthquake caused building collapses and problems with transport and travel across the area. Mostly affected cities are Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Malatya and Hatay, as well as their districts and villages.

This will have a major impact on operations and, consequently, on quality of service for all types of inbound mail (letter post, parcel post and EMS items). For this reason, service delivery standards cannot be guaranteed and delays are likely to happen in the affected areas.

Turkish Post Corporation thanks all partnerrs and customers for their understanding.
