The designated operator of the United States of America, the United States Postal Service (USPS), wishes to inform that Winter Storm Fern is significantly affecting the US and over 230 million people. 

The storm is bringing a dangerous mix of heavy snow, freezing rain, sleet and bitter cold, leading to major disruptions and power outages. 

It is expected to cause catastrophic ice accumulations, resulting in long-duration power outages, extensive tree damage, and extremely dangerous or impassable conditions. 

The storm’s path will bring snowfalls exceeding 12 inches across the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, causing widespread service disruption to the collection and delivery of domestic and international mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).

USPS is taking all necessary steps to minimize any inconvenience to its customers while keeping employees safe.
